We have a vacancy for a full-time Room Senior/Named Deputy Practitioner

 
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week 8.00-3.30 Monday to Friday, term-time only.
 
WAGE: Currently £8.45 per hour (increasing in April 2019).
 
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Minimum Level 3 in childcare and at least 1 years’ current experience in running a room and acting as a key worker.
 
Purpose of Post
 
We are seeking an enthusiastic Room Senior to join the team at our Fourfields site
 
Start date immediate, however we will wait for the right candidate
 
Room Senior/Room Leading experience essential
To be an effective member of an early year’s childcare team delivering a flexible, high quality childcare service that meets the needs of the children and their families.
To key work for a small group of children
To adhere to the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage
Supervision of junior staff and support to senior personnel within the setting therefore implementing high standards of quality practices
Deputise in the absence of the Preschool Manager.
Interviews will consist of a formal question and answer session with an interview panel and practical observation with a group of children for a session.
 
Stretton Pre-school childcare provision is committed to safeguarding children and enhanced DBS and reference checks (following job offer) will be sought.
 
Closing date: 22nd February 2019, Interviews will be held on either 26th or 28th February 2019.

We have a vacancy for a part-time Early Years Practitioner

Do you like working with Children? Do you want to make an impact on a child's foundation of learning through following the EYFS? Do you want to help keep children safe and reach their full potential?

Stretton Preschool has a part time vacancy (term time only on a fixed term contract to be reviewed at the end of the academic year for the following academic year).

This is for an immediate start (but will wait for the correct applicant).

Hours: Part-time

Monday 8.45am-3.15pm

Tuesday 8.45am - 3.15pm

Wednesday 8.45am-3.15pm

 

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a part time member of staff who has current early years knowledge and how to act as a key worker for a small amount of children.

  • NVQ 3, NNEB, Cache Level 2 or 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Thorough knowledge of Ofsted standards and procedures and be able to take part in Ofsted inspections and early years visits and monitoring.
  • Experience of working with children over 2 years.
  • Minimum 12 month’s proven experience as a level 2 or 3 qualified Practitioner.
  • Strong Communication skills- good command of spoken and written English.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for working within an early years setting.
  • Ability to use own initiative, share ideas and be innovative and work well within a team.
  • To plan quality and interesting activities in line with the EYFS; taking in consideration the children’s individual needs and interest.
  • Ability to carry out children’s observations, planning and assessments using the Tapestry App.
  • To be aware of the high profile of the Setting and to uphold its standards at all times.
  • To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring setting policies and procedures are observed at all times.
  • To adhere to all routines in the setting, including children’s personal hygiene.

Interviews will be held on either 12th or 14th February 2019
