“Curiosity creates the child to build the best start in life, which enables them to explore and learn!”

Stretton Pre-School is the largest of Pre-Schools in Yaxley that is committee run and has seen many changes over the years since we started back in 1982 and since then many children have started on their educational ladder with us. Even though our Pre-Schools are well attended, our caring, experienced and friendly staff make time to get to know all of the children in their sessions as individuals – this helps to make their time spent with us special and rewarding.
We operate from two separate sites; Main Street Site and Fourfields Site, and although we are situated at the two sides of the village of Yaxley, children can attend either of our settings. We welcome families from the surrounding areas such as Hampton, Farcet and other locations to visit our settings and take up places if spaces allow. Both settings work closely together and have joint activities from time to time. We take children from the age of 2 years until they move on to their Reception Year at Primary School.
Our Main Street Pre-School also provides an Early Bird Club (8.30am-9am) to help parents with the school run or getting to work on time.
We hope that you find all the information you need on our website, whether you are looking for a Pre-School for your child to attend or are an existing parent/carer. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need further information or to discuss anything in more detail – see ‘Contact Us’ for contact details.

Established 1982
Stretton Pre-school respects and values children from any racial origins, religions, special needs, cultures, languages and backgrounds. We value all children and adults equally and as individuals. We do not discriminate in any way and all children and adults are welcome at our pre-school.
We want all children to feel happy and secure during their time with us and this can only be achieved with an equal partnership between home and pre-school. We are only too pleased to listen to any concerns parents/carers may have and will do our best to address these as quickly and professionally as possible.
Children benefit enormously when parents/carers and pre-school work together and we hope that parents/carers will feel able to share in the many activities and continuous provision that we offer on a daily basis. We need to do this together, in partnership and this will ensure that children have the best opportunity for progress.
